En el ciclo de vida de un cliente en una Telco a nivel de red, existen diversas tareas que realizar en distintos niveles de la red, como acceso fijo, acceso móvil o autenticación en la red de los dispositivos, entre otras. Esto conlleva el despliegue y mantenimiento de muchos flujos de provisión que son diferentes entre sí y muy críticos, ya que conllevan de forma directa que el cliente quede conectado.

In the lifecycle of a customer in a Telco at network level, there are various tasks to be performed at different levels of the network, such as fixed access, mobile access, or device authentication, among others. This involves the deployment and maintenance of many provisioning flows that are different from each other and very critical as they directly ensure that the customer is connected.

Temporal has been in use at Twilio for several years now, first as a self-hosted service and then using Temporal Cloud.
In this talk, I will present the motivation and our path for the migration from hosted to cloud: how we made it easier for internal customers to migrate, how we solved long-running workflow migrations and the lessons learned.
